Julie Aviron is a landscaper with a Higher Technical Certificate in Landscape Architecture, obtained in 2007, and a “Landscape Designer Collaborator” Certificate of Specialisation awarded in 2008. She has had wide-ranging professional experience with landscaping companies, developing her approach to landscape architecture during the various stages of the projects she has been involved in. She set up on her own in August 2011, creating the “Nature Paysage” agency in Saint Rémy sur Creuse, Vienne, designing and laying out parks and gardens as well as taking charge of maintaining green spaces. Having developed good people-skills through collaborating on many and varied projects, she is enthusiastic about undertaking creation of this garden for the Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden Festival.
Jérôme Levallard is a government-qualified landscape architect who, following studies in agronomy and environment, began specialising in landscape architecture in 2006. Winner of the Beaune Festival’s “Cours Eau Jardin” competition in 2008, he has entered a wide range of competitions in search of professional experience. He graduated from the National Higher School of Architecture and Landscaping in Lille as a government-qualified landscape architect in July 2012, and is fascinated by the notion of “resilience” in urban and rural landscapes. He sees painting and photography as essential tools, which he tries to make use of at every stage of the projects he undertakes. It is no surprise that he was interested in the Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden competition and has now taken on the challenge.
Alice Gounet is a government-qualified landscape architect. She grew up in a house on forestland and has always had a taste for applied arts, so naturally enough turned to landscaping as her future career. She started out by taking an apprenticeship course leading to a Higher Technical Certificate in Landscape Architecture, which gave her plenty of practical experience working with specialised companies and provided her with direct knowledge of how parks and gardens are created. She further explored her interest in development of public space by enrolling in the National Higher School of Architecture and Landscaping (ENSAP) in Lille, where she focused in particular on the contexts in which projects had to be incorporated, graduating in 2012. Her study path required collaborations within the school itself as well as in the context of the various placements included in the programme, all of which helped her develop a multidisciplinary approach to all the projects she is involved in. With her love for drawing, travel, landscaping and meeting new people, she is delighted to be taking part in the Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival competition.
Sarah Schrader is a colour, graphics and materials designer. She graduated with honours in 2007, obtaining a Higher Diploma in Applied Arts (DSAA) in Fashion and Environment from the Duperré Higher School of Applied Arts. She lives in Paris, working as a freelance designer on a variety of projects going from advice on current trends and colour to textile design/graphics, and involved in a variety of sectors including fashion, decoration, architecture and transport. In parallel, she is active in the field of scenography and design, creating costumes and micro-universes in collaboration with theatre companies and photographers. The Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden competition provides her with a fresh opportunity to stage a new project in a prestigious setting.
