The garden
All of the elements of this garden play a role in immersing visitors in a perceptive and emotional experience through which they relive sensations of childhood. The footpath cuts across miniature magical landscapes in which artificial elements catch you unawares – a gust of wind blows through the space, over your heads, carrying wafts of fragrances with it. It carries far and transforms sounds, caresses the skin. Here, wind has a physical presence – it is the protagonist of the story unfolding alongside visitors as they weave their way through the fairytale that has crafted this garden. The wind rustles the leaves and blows away the winged seeds of the forest. It rocks the giant dandelions in the meadow and the “multi-sensory” pollen. The wind transforms the clouds of light, feathery plants and stirs up waves of sand, making them resonate under the feet of passers-by; in a nutshell, a strange and fascinating world where the senses are on constant alert.

Daniela Borroni took her Masters at Milan’s “Politecnico” University, and went on to obtain a distinction in a second-level Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Florence in 2005. She worked for several years as a university teacher of landscape architecture and was responsible for coordinating the drafting of the “Guidelines for drainage and recovery of quarry-site landscapes” for the Lombardy Region, at the Politecnico de Milano. She now works as an architect in private practice, carrying out work in her own laboratory on construction of gardens and temporary garden competitions, and also collaborating with other architects in the field of landscaping, including Laboratorio di Architettura Rosellini & Partners (a laboratory that has been active in the fields of architecture, design of public areas, city parks and interior decoration since 1990).
Susanna Rossellini is one of the office’s founder members and took her Masters at Milan’s “Politecnico” University. Following her university studies, she obtained a diploma in project planning and creation of parks, and went on to teaching architectural design and the art of the garden at Milan’s “Politecnico” University.
Simona Venturelli took her Masters at the Milan “Politecnico”, specialising in urban design and landscape architecture. She has collaborated with the architect Rossellini, working in his laboratory for several years, and taken an active part in the design and creation of a variety of public areas and city parks. She recently became a partner of the Laboratorio di Architettura Rosellini & Partners.
