The garden

Sensual delight – all is sensual delight in this garden of the senses, of pleasure and of desire. We are invited, body and soul, to experience moments of intimacy and moments of shared bliss. The creation seeks to be an extension of the lodge, a phantasmagorical projection of the bedroom, with its rules, regulations and rituals – and their transgression.
It is reached through an orchard of closely planted fruit trees. Crossing it, we come to a clearing open to the sky above, where everything is luxury and refinement. In the centre stands a four-poster bed set on a base of red roses, a spur to passion.
An invitation to repose, meditation, and amorous encounters, the four-poster bed projects the intimacy of the lodge into the garden, a space that is both open and enclosed. Gratifying the senses, the evocative power of its abundant and sensual plant life is of key importance here. Fruit trees grow alongside red roses and virgin vines, a-tingle with expectation. Every sense is awakened to the full.

Guillaume Vigan comes from a family of landscapers and graduated in 2000. He has worked at a variety of agencies in Paris and the provinces, including the Pena & Pena agency, where he participated in a variety of projects under development in the technical division. He set up his own firm, Vigan Design Paysage, in 2009 and also works for public and private clients. He assigns special importance to ecology and sustainable development (choice of materials and local plant life), quality of execution and reliability of solutions implemented. In his eyes, each project provides an opportunity to innovate and experiment with contemporary techniques and aesthetic sensibilities.

Alexandre Granger is an architect and town-planner with a special interest in the uses and sense of the areas he designs. For him, their vegetation must be of prime importance as a structuring and meaningful constituent of the finished creation. After working in a number of private agencies, he is currently responsible for urban studies at the Saint-Nazaire region’s Agency for Sustainable Development (ADDRN).
