Between poetry and fantasy, nature and literature, the Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire’s 2023 Art Season will carry you off into a bewitching, dreamlike world.
Fifteen artists are set to share this new celebration of nature. Fifteen individuals each of whose pieces captures their work’s unique character. Inspired by mineral, vegetable, animal and anthropomorphic forms, drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations compose an innovative itinerary through such exhibition areas as the Historic Grounds, which is very much in the spotlight this year.
First of all,Alechinsky ’s major new exhibition in the Château’s Uppers Galleries leads us into the fascinating world of the artist's work on paper.
C’est aussi l’univers des livres que célèbre Stefan Râmniceanualso celebrates the world of books, with sculptural works set in the Lower Gallery, the Entrance Hall and the Billiard Room.
The eminent Korean artist Lee Ufan has hung a mysterious “Infinite Thread” in the depths of the King’s Tower, while Pascal Convert has set pristine, magnificently phantasmal candelabras on the table in Princesse de Broglie’s Dining Room.
Les céramiques enchanteresses et virtuoses de Grégoire Scalabre ’s enchanting virtuoso ceramics occupy two extensive areas in the Domain’s Stables, while the Irish artist Claire Morgan ’s delicate white wings cast their spell over the Bee Barn.
But it’s not all white, there’s also plenty of colour, with Fabrice Hyberhas created an intriguing “Family of Acrobats”, set to be added to this new edition’s installations. A fairytale atmosphere, an air of mystery and poetic fiction, awaits you at Chaumont-sur-Loire’s new Art Season.Chantal Colleu-Dumond Yves Zurstrassen et les délicates graminées poudrées d’or de Sophie Blanc, dans l’Asinerie, complètent cette promenade entre rêve, nature et poésie.
Si Exhibition curator a déposé ses œuvres de pierre et de verre dans le Pédiluve de la Cour de la Ferme, sont apparues, dans le Parc historique, de nouvelles silhouettes hiératiques de Christian Lapie et d’énigmatiques sculptures de Denis Monfleur, tandis qu’une “Membrane” réalisée in situ par Lionel Sabatté s’est dressée au détour d’un bosquet.
De retour au Domaine, Bob Verschueren a imaginé un intrigant “Clan des voltigeurs” qui s’ajoutera aux installations de cette nouvelle édition.
Ambiance de conte de fées, mystère et fiction poétique sont donc au rendez-vous de cette nouvelle Saison d’Art de Chaumont-sur-Loire.
