PRESENTATION
Nature holds a special fascination for Finnish photographer Santeri Tuori. In a similar way to painters, this artist is enthralled by the leaves of trees, observes light and the shifting light and colour patterns over the landscape.
Using his camera, he captures the same elements, in the same place, several times, through the passing seasons. He then superimposes the layers of photographs to create his own imaginary scenery.
This series exhibits photographs of the same trees, taken at different times of the year, that have been superimposed, sometimes with an altogether unexpected combination of black & white and colour.
His surreal images, of an astonishing density, instil in us a sense of fascinating timelessness.
